3rd Party Development Policy
In order to maintain the stability and security of our servers and customer websites, Marathon reserves the right to review and approve third party program code and applications. Marathon Internet Services is not responsible for functionality or maintenance of websites produced by other vendors or suppliers and reserves the right to remove or disable the website if it is determined to be a risk to security or server performance.

Marathon provides the following technologies to 3rd party developers:
- Apache 2.4
- PHP 5.5 with PEAR
- Form input must be fully validated, we recommend using PEAR::QuickForm.
- You are free to use third party mail utilities such as SwiftMailer or PHPMailer.
- SMTP must be used when sending email via PHP.
- MySQL 5.x or PostgreSQL 9.2
- No SSI or Perl
When you are ready to deploy your changes to the production environment, please:
- Submit the files in archive (zip, tar, …) form or on CD to your Internet Customer Service representative.
- Allow 5 to 10 business days for approval of the changes.
